Animal Ambassadors
The initial rescue farm animals living at the Abraham Ranch are referred to as Ambassadors and will likely live out their lives at the property. These incredible animals have come a tremendous way with the temperament and health and the hope is they will be a calming force for new rescue animals as they are eventually added to the facilities.

Slim Shady the Arabian horse. He's our wild man who is incredibly affectionate but afraid of the silliest things. He is 20 years old, and when he first came to us, he wouldn't even let you harness him and would not let the farrier touch his feet. He has come a long way!

Cottonwood Panda Bear the mini horse (as named by then 2-year-old Celia Abraham). She is Slim Shady's trusted side kick, best friend and emotional support animal! She was brought to Michigan from Minnesota by the ASPCA and had an auction sticker stuck to her. She has the sweetest temperament and is estimated at 4 years old.

Bonnie & Clyde the not-so-miniature miniature donkeys. Bonnie and Clyde were an owner surrender and they are very calm and sweet. They love children and they like a good game of chase when they see the fly spray.

Oliver the endlessly entertaining potbellied pig. Oliver lives the good life in the barn and refuses to be an outdoor pig in the pig pasture. His daily workout includes climbing the stair to the break room to seek out snacks!

Batman the Barn Cat. Batman was originally cared for by neighbors of the ranch who moved away. He was rehomed here and immediately assumed the role of official ranch greeter. He is the goofiest of cats who loves belly rubs and to jump in the utility vehicles. He's also super talkative and will follow us around to supervise as we do barn chores.

Dez is a 21 year old Arabian who was gifted to us as a riding horse. She loves exploring the trails on our property and loves peppermints and apples. We are so lucky to have her!

Honey Pot was originally from Clifden Farm in Illinois. She is a wonderful riding horse who loves children and will spend her golden years being completely doted on at Abraham Ranch.

Unicorn, Peaches and Oreo (mama and her babies) are our friendly and playful goat family. Peaches. They love affection, shoelaces and playing king of the hill on their slide.

Bingo and Hadley were from the same litter of a feral cat, and we were able to spay and neuter them and bring them on as barn cats. They are very cuddly and have gotten used to being held and spoiled.

Garth, Elvis, Dolly and Reba were brought to Michigan Humane at Abraham Ranch via Oakland County Animal Control. They were on the feral side and required professional wranglers to transport them here. They have been adopted by Abraham Ranch and are growing friendlier and more comfortable around people every day.

Chicky (33) & Lacey (30) are two Golden Girls who came to the ranch when their owner got diagnosed with terminal cancer. They were originally up for adoption, but as they continued to age, we thought it was best for them to live out their lives here. They're definitely young at heart!
